How to Remove a kernel version in FC4?

I installed kernel-2.6.11-1.1369_FC4.src.rpm and also compiled it.

Now my grub loader as two options as below

Fedora Core(2.6.11-prep) -----> (which is the new one)

Fedora 4 (Existing option)

Now i would like to remove the Fedora Core(2.6.11-prep) completely from my system as i dont need it.

So guide me how to remove it and all its dependencies so as to free my
memory space.

Do "rpm -q kernel" to see which versions you have. Do "yum remove kernel-2.6.11-whatever" corresponding to the version you want to remove.

I tried this steps already but it failed.

I think that for using yum, internet connection is compulsary because when i use yum remove kernel 2.6.xx it shows there is no active url.

So is there any other possibilities?
