How to rejoin split files


I forgot how to rejoin files split with the linux "split" utility. I can't seem to locate any documentation on it, man page for "split" doesn't help and an internet search won't turn up anything but a lot of other split utilities.

well you'll just cat them back together again

cat a b c > file
