How to overburn CD-RW

Hi folks,

I have following ISO images download
Code:

$ ls -l Download/FedoraCore5/
total 3145264
-rw-rw-r--  1 satimis satimis 687235072 Apr  6 14:11 FC-5-i386-disc1.iso
-rw-rw-r--  1 satimis satimis 700618752 Apr  6 14:14 FC-5-i386-disc2.iso
-rw-rw-r--  1 satimis satimis 721016832 Apr  6 17:06 FC-5-i386-disc3.iso
-rw-rw-r--  1 satimis satimis 720910336 Apr  6 17:10 FC-5-i386-disc4.iso
-rw-rw-r--  1 satimis satimis 387753984 Apr  6 20:54 FC-5-i386-disc5.iso

I expect to burn them on CD-RW. However my CD-RW can hold only 650MB. It is possible to over-burn them on my CD-RW. If possible please advise the cdrecord command line to be used with relevant options up.

TIA

The ISO's are made to fit on standard CD-R(W)'s. There is no need to use overburn as they will burn just fine. All blank CD's have a few extra meg on them anyway.

However, if you wish the option is available AFAIK to cdrecord. Try 'man cdrecord' to read up on the options.

Edit: oopps sorry, I noticed you're using 650mb discs, the ISO's are made for 700mb discs.

Would it be worth purchasing a few 700Mb cdr's? They are not expensive :)
