how to open downloaded "exe" and "bin" files in the LXLE OS

My first Linux experience, just installed the LXLE OS and have downloaded a file to create a bootable USB drive. the file has the extension “.exe”. i could not find how to open this file. a google search found no helpful return. is there a source that explaines this in a way for the lost soul ?

An exe file is for windows machines. While you can run some windows programs in linux using wine, generally nothing involving direct access to a USB device will work that way (though you can access USB disk devices if they're mounted).

For creating bootable USB drives there's plenty of good linux software around which would be a much better idea than trying to get the windows version of anything to work. I generally use uNetBootin.

That's a windows file. Unetbootin (while not my favorite) is in the repo of most distros...
