how to mount to my handydrive device?


Dear all,

i have a handydrive and then, i don't know what should be the way to mount to the drive from rh.

so, pls give me some point on this.

what is a handydrive? is it a usb device or something else?

usb drive

The device id should be /dev/sda1 assuming no other SCSI hard drive devices.

Create a mount point directory like

mkdir /mnt/handydrive

Then

mount -t vfat /dev/sda1 /mnt/handydrive

The assumptions are that the USB mass storage module and other associated USB modules are being loaded.

Another question pls,
what is the USB mass storage module and other associated USB modules? pls, give an example for instance.

Check the output of /sbin/lsmod for the following:
usb-core
usb-uhci
usb-storage
scsi_mod
