I installed RH 9.0 today, but can't connect to the RHN by the GUI, so I find the data, know that need install the new version RHN first then can connect to RHN again, but after I downloaded the files what I need and try to manual install it, I failed.
And here are the system response of me
[root@explorer kei]# rpm -Uvh up2date-3.1.23.2-1.i386.rpm
error: Failed dependencies:
up2date = 3.1.23 is needed by (installed) up2date-gnome-3.1.23-1
[root@explorer kei]# rpm -Uvh up2date-gnome-3.1.23.2-1.i386.rpm
error: Failed dependencies:
up2date = 3.1.23.2 is needed by up2date-gnome-3.1.23.2-1
[root@explorer kei]# rpm -q up2date
up2date-3.1.23-1
Who can teach me how to solve that problems? Thanks
well the package you are trying to install needs up2date-3.1.23.2 and you have version update-3.1.23-1, although its such a slight difference, it just won't do it ..
so either :
a) update up2date first
or
b) try an earlier version of up2date-gnome ..
