how to make linux use hdparm where i can put it


i'am setting up a print server using a 486 pc whith 16mb ram and a dd 81 mb every thing works fine but i want to use hdparm to stop the hd one minute after start up how can i do that

Put it in your rc (startup) files. On SysV-compatible boxen it's /etc/rc.d/rc.sysinit and /etc/rc.d/rc.local. On RH(E)L and alike systems look for the file /etc/sysconfig/harddisks for instructions.

how to hdparm in a little print server box?

Hi, this is my problem,i put hdparm in my dd but i don't know where to put it and how?
I'am newbby to linux and that is why i need more detailed help
I want to stop the hd since my print server works only in ram
