How to make linux Rh Enterp. 3 go on the XP partition ?

I have installed a Red Hat Enterprise V.3 on a Dell computer where I kept a XP partition. I would like my Linux see the XP part of the partition, as I used to do with a Mandrake 7.0 to 9.0 and Windowns 98.
I adeed the following line in /etc/fstab:
/dev/hda2 /mnt/windows auto iocharset=iso8859-15,codepage=850,umask=0 0 0

and I get the message :
mount: fs type ntfs not supported by kernel

Is it really impossible ? (I have been told that Mandrake 9.0 support the ntfs file of XP)
Note : my kernel is the 2.4.21-4

With RedHat, you need to manaully add NTFS support (by recompiling the kernel, I think).

Well, the problem is that I cannot find the kernel-ntfs.rpm for the kernel 2.4.21 corresponding to the RedHat WS 3 (Taroon). I tried with the kernel-ntf-4.4.20 (RH 9) but it fails. I looked for the RPM on the CD of the distribution, but I didn't find it. Therefore I am still with an uncommunicating two parts computer.
