how to make firefox aware of java on amd64


Hi,
i have a Debian amd64 system with sun-1.5-jdk running fine. However, firefox (amd64) cannot recognize/"see" it. How can i make firefox aware of the jre?

There's no plugin for the 64 bit version. If you want jre as well as flash9, you will need to install a 32 bit browser.

Unless you can get blackdown's 64-bit java-plugin working.

Konqueror uses a different method of Java execution. No plugin needed. I use that on my AMD64 system if I have to see a java applet.
