How to install XFree86 libs?


Hello,

I'm trying to install the library XFree86-libs-... to solve a Java exception in my application.

If I try to install it I receive a warning that asks me to install XFree-data....
If I try to install it I receive a warning that asks me to install XFree-devel....
If I try to install it I receive a warning that asks me to install XFree-libs....

I'm going to be crazy.

Is there any easy way to install an RPM packages. How can I know exactly and fastly whic other RPMs do I have to install before trying to install XFree-libs...

Please help me....

Go to XFree86.org they list all dependencies, etc. They also have a .sh installer that really makes things go smoothly. I upgraded to 4.4 in about 5 minutes with no problem.

what distro are you using ?
just incse you are using gentoo, as root run "emerge xorg" or "emerge xfree"
