How to install Google Earth

I have downloaded the Google Earth program for Linux.

I run open SuSE 11.0

The following is the name of the downloaded file.
GoogleEarthLinux.bin

...........................................
I tried in vain to install as a superuser

ni@linux-j5q7:/media> su root
Password:
linux-j5q7:/media # rpm -i GoogleEarthLinux.bin
GoogleEarthLinux.bin: not an rpm package (or package manifest):
linux-j5q7:/media #

I think I used the proper command to install it.
How do I install the downloaded file?
I appreciate your help.

awww dude, I really missed you.

chmod +x ./thatfile.bin
./thatfile.bin
