Instead of a bad idea
Code:
chmod 777 /dev/hdc
How to give permissions for burning (k3b, cdrecord, ...) to all users ?

Any ideas ??

Does Debian use Udev? You should use the rules there and group membership to control dvd burning.

Most of the time the burner will be have a group of cdrom or something similar, you could just add the people you want to have access to that group

but for wodim/cdrecord, I dont think so
