Xine is a DVD player application. If you want to play RealMedia files, you need a media player like mplayer, which can play RealMedia video and audio files.

Go to the MPlayer website and download RPMs for your setup. If you do some Googling you can find a person who publishes an mplayer source RPM with the codecs bundled into it. I would post the URLs but I can't do that quite yet

Hello other way to have xine is by dowloanding the sorurces, check the website: www.xinehq.de

You will need the following software in order to have xine fully operational

1.- xine-lib
2.- lbdvdcss
3.- xine-ui

Cool

Dude.. Xine without the lvdvdcss won't play DVD, xine by itselfs doesn't come with that feature due to law issues.. inorder to play dadvs you need to compile livdvdcss, this library what is does is to decrypt the info so you can play it.

I always thought xine was for DVDs only. I didn't know it was as prolific as mplayer, which I actually prefer to a graphical program anyway.
