how to get urxvt to show image in background

The reason I am posting this is because I have read countless how do I get urxvt to show a background?

it is this simple:

I just installed this terminal off my repo, then went to work on configuring it. darn if I couldn't get that background image to work. Then finially I read a post something about it has to be compiled with that support within it. So I removed the one from my repo, then I downloaded the source code, ./configure --enable-everything , make, sudo make install.

tried it again - and it worked. Set with urxvt.inheritPixmap: true and it shows through the image as well.

the screenShot - it is in i3 without true composite, because I've read that i3 does not render that very well.

I did some custon Imges in GIMP - start with a new image make the back ground transperent, then crop out what ever image you want then do that magic select on it invert copy the paste it into the transperent image export as a png slap it into your term and volia -- I turned on compton -b off the command line and I am posting images of what I get off of that.

just running compton -b I get both levels.

(I don't know gimp names very well, but it was rather simple to
create a custom image using transperentcy, and transperent layers)

my ETerm has random images- every time I open a new one I get a different image.
