How to get the cool purple cursor

Hey,
I was using mandrake for a while, and especially loved the cursor. I'm currently thinking about switching to debian (Mepis). However, the mouse is black. I already tried updating xfree86 (apt-get install xserver-xfree86) but the cursor doesn't change. Is there a setting somewhere that would allow the newer linux cursor to take over?

Try looking at kde-look.org and gnome-look.org for X11 cursors. You can then use the program gcursor (apt-get it) to install and select your new cursor. I believe the KDE control panel can also change the cursor. Then logout and log back in.
