You are going to have to phrase your question more concretely (start by mentioning which RFC).
A lot of RFC's are for protocols that are not tied to the OS, ie: pop3. Applications which run on Linux support it, but it is not strictly 'Linux' supported...

This question is a bit too broad---you need to tell us what problem you are trying to solve (or is it a homework assignment?)

The RFCs are about the functioning of the Internet. Those functions are done by various applications. In all, I would suspect that a Linux box with all the right apps supports internet functions as well as--or BETTER than --any other OS.

I am looking to create multiple sessions in one GRE tunnel.
I find the mention of that support in RFC 2890.

If i look into the code , i feel there is no support for "multiple sessions in one GRE tunnel"

I need to make sure that i am not missing something .
For the same reason,i want to find out if this particular RFC is supported in Linux kernel ?

WHOOOOOOOOOOSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
(Sound of your problem going way over my head.... )

Am I the only one who does not know what a GRE tunnel is?
Is this really a Linux question?
