Already i asked about How to mount the External USB drive in the grub prompt?. No reply as positive. So i searched in the net and i mounted my Internal and External USB drives in the grub prompt. Now i can able to see the number of Partitions in the drive and folders and files in the partitions.
But i cann't Execute any Applications/Exe in the GRUB prompt. Plz help me how to run the exe in the grub view.
I'm not sure but I'm pretty confident that you can't. It's a boot loader not a shell, there wouldn't be any libs loaded for it to use or an OS to manage IO and resource allocation.
Plus on top of all that, you posted in the wrong forum.
I can't imagine why you would want to execute an exe from Grub but I would be interested to know how you managed to mount the usb device from the Grub bootloader as I too would like to know how to do this so that I don't have to alter my BIOS settings everytime I want to boot from a usb stick (i.e. to boot DSL).
P.S.
Before anyone suggested setting my BIOS to look for usb devices before booting from the HD, I've tried that and (maybe cos it's a laptop or maybe just a crap BIOS??) the option to boot from usb is only present when there is a usb device connected, so when there is no usb device connect the BIOS 'forgets' about the need to ever again attempt to boot from usb before HD, which means you have to change it back every time you wanna boot from usb.

Flash your BIOS to the latest version? That is the sort of thing they fix in future revisions.
I have solved the issue of booting a USB drive from GRUB if anyone is interested???
On my laptop it's simply a case of booting from (hd1,0) instead of (hd0,0). I found this out by going to the GRUB console, editing on of the already set up boot options and hitting TAB to see the list of available devices I could boot from. Just a little FYI there
