how to exclude a file on WinXP with the SCP copy run from linux?

Hi,

I need to use the scp command on a linux server to copy files+dirs from a windows 2003 server but i want to exclude 1 file from a specific directory (maybe in the future more files).

Any ideas how to do this (if possible in one command line)?

I have already searched in the man pages of SCP but could not find anything to exclude files or directories. I know it can be done with rsync but i can not use that because rsync does not work reliable from Windows (with Cygwin).
