how to edit lilo in debian ?


Howdy,..
i need to put acpi off when kernel is loading is there a gui for this ?
or the only option is vim /etc/lilo.conf (or any other text editor).

yeah just edit /etc/lilo.conf and then run "lilo" as root once you've edited it to commit the changes.

10q dood ,..
i knew that already but i found this little prog : lilo-conf for KDE (but it's really lousy).

You may have the command line app called 'liloconfig' (I know Slackware does). It has the basics for automagically setting up and easily configuring lilo.conf without manually editing it.

whlist lilo is nowhere near as nice as grub, it is a lot more obvious to edit. i never found a problem in editing it directly.
