Thumbs up How to easily change the GRUB OS boot order.

I've seen many, many different solutions for how to change the GRUB boot order. Search no more. This is by far the easiest, safest way to do that.

Open your terminal and type in the following:
sudo apt-get install startupmanager

That's if folks. When that is done go to your control panel and you'll have a new icon that says Startup Manager. Every thing you'll need work with your GRUB menu.

Hey corax57, welcome to LQ.
This sort of tips and tricks post is welcome. However it makes more sence if you realate it to the distro it is for. Clearly some sort of Debian variation, but they don't all have the same exact package names in their repos.

It helps to put your location and distro in your profile so it shows up next to your posts.

For posts like this, where you may change distro later to one where the instructions don't work, it is best to put that in the message body.

Looking around:

startupmanager was originally an Ubuntu project which has been adapted to Debian and is available in the Universe repositories. It will also modify USplash.

Browsing the repositories with synaptic is generally a good idea - its amazing what you find.
