Angry how to disable dpms forever???

Hi everybody,
I have a problem (and i think i am not the only one...) with the dpms under suse. If the screen starts to blanking or suspend during a fortran code execution the machine crashes. I have disabled the power management under the control center, but the problem is that if anyone is logged in this configuration does not aplly...Does anybody know how to automatically disable the dpms after startup for both init 3 and init 5 runlevels? I have tried to put some option under the XFree config file, but it seems to work wrong....

Many thanks in advance
