how to d/l and burn an ISO.

after wasting a few discs i figured id do a post to help save someone else from that. i used windows xp nero & an iomega burner. when you download the linux iso image right click on it and select save target as... click on file types and select all files and save it in your choice of location. i downloaded the 30 day trial of nero express the link is in www.linuxiso.org . open nero express Nero-burning rom click demo on the popup cancel the nero wiazrd and click the icon on the tool bar called swithes to nero express. under what would you like to burn? select disc image or saved project then in the pop up window, chose all files (as file type) then point to the linux iso, select it then click open. make sure your burner is listed in the destination drive and click next. and let the burning begin. this disc once done will be bootable.

md5sum your file and check it against the published MD5 for the ISO. You'll end up with a ton of coasters otherwise.

If you _must_ use windows then at least get the tools (unxutils.sourceforge.net). ;>
