how to create swap partition manually
 

Respective sir,
I have install rhel5 recently on my hard disk .but while instaling it i forget to create swap partition on it but i know we can create swap file
so please help me how to create swap partition using terminal please help me

without reinstalling everything from scratch, you might be able to create it with gparted.

You've been asked before why you use RHEL when you're not paying for it, instead of using CentOS (which is FREE and nearly IDENTICAL). AGAIN, we will point out that you won't get updates/patches/fixes/security updates without being a PAID subscriber to the Red Hat network. You get all those things for FREE with CentOS.

Could also just make a swap file and be done with it.

May not even need either.

Agreed...the swap partition and swap file are both covered in that RHEL doc, though. But you are totally right...these days, it's rare to actually USE a swap partition/file. Rule of thumb used to be make it twice as big as your total system RAM.

As I understand it ,you can only use Rh Guides with a Rh O.S

A good start would be for you to OPEN A NEW THREAD FOR A NEW QUESTION. This question doesn't even apply in ANY way to this thread.

This is also a VERY vague question. 'Connect' HOW? What do you want to share? How do you want to share it?? And again, since you're using RHEL, have you contacted Red Hat support?? You are paying for RHEL, right??? As has been told to you before, unless you're going to PAY for RHEL, then you shouldn't be using it, but should use CentOS instead.
