how to create a new .C file in linux

iam a beginner and i don't know anything about LINUX.But i have a gud knowledge of C language in DOS environment.Now i want to know how to create a new .c file and open it for editing purpose

Hi and welcome to LQ.

Just use a text editor or IDE just like on DOS, Windows and other OSes. Also if you reply to your own threads within a short period of time, you remove them from the zero reply list which maybe a disadvantage for you because the forum won't bump your thread to increase its exposure.
