checked the config files ?

dear It is I

If I am not very much mistaken, RH7.2 comes with a very strickt set of security rules, which disables most of the connections/supports that might be security leak. I would recommend that you check ALL your configuration files, especially the ones in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts, and then make sure that the files /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward and /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_dynaddr has the value of 1, then try pinging your own network card's IP (if you are given a dynamic IP each time you restart your machine, you can see your IP number by typing 'ifconfig' followed by enter), then your modem's IP, and then if both succeeds, finally your ISPs DNS IP/Gateway IP or any other IP to make sure that you have things going allright.

hope that helps. let me know if you have succeeded.

thanks.
