Thumbs up how to close port 1050 please help how to close it.


hello linux users can some tell why is port 1050 is open on my linux desktop i did a test on sheilds up web site and it gave me a result that port 1050 cobra management agent is open why is it open and how do i close the dam thing can some tell me how i can go about this cheers norm.ps iam still using ubuntu hardy heron.

open terminal and change to su

double check but i believe the syntax is...


iptables -A INPUT -p tcp --destination-port 1050 -i eth0 -j DROP
