How to check slow internet speed

- hey guys currently we are using UBUNTU linux as our internet gateway it has 2 NICS a squid web cache server and firestarter GUI firewall to share internet access to our windows network. lately we are experiencing slow internet connections and downloading. is there a way to check our UBUNTU if its causing the problem.

How can i use this tool to tell me if our ubuntu is the cause of our slow internet connection?

Jeenam already provided you one way of finding your answer? Have you ran the tool? Another would be to install Ntop on your server and see if maybe someone is saturating the network bandwidth.

yes i did...but im new to this tool how do you can you tell what is the problem basing from the data provided.
