how to change login prompt


how do i adjust the login prompt that i see when i boot in to console mode....i want it to run things like fortune and custom welcome prompt im using fedora core 3

the pointy-click way:

Applications>System Settings>Login Screen

there are five pretty bland preinstalled graphical logins, you can change your welcome message on the first tab.
