How to bring back the grub of Suse

Hello all,
I recently installed Windows again and for that my grub boot loader is gone. So now how to bring back that ? I am using Suse9.1.
BTW, I already checked it in rescue mode and there is no grub.conf file in /etc/ directory or the /boot/grub/menu.lst.
Now what to do to bring back the grub bootloader again? any idea ?

thanks in advance.

If you boot from your Linux CD there should be an option to fix the operating system. I've tried it but might work. I think you can also use the CD to boot your linux install on the hardisk.

In future it's easier to install window first and then linux, as Linux will automatically create a dual booting system.

Good luck

You need to get in via the rescue disk, then mount your usual Linux partition and access the grub.conf file that's on it. Re-install grub to the MBR using that file, and everything should be back as it was before.
