How to boot "raw iso cd image?"

I downloaded an iso from the "Easys" website
but, unlike so many other isos I've downloaded
and burned with "Deep Burner," it won't boot.

There is nothing on the site about what to do
with this image, so I'm assuming I just am
missing some info on the difference between
a "raw iso" and a bootable one. So, I've come
here for a clue about this. :)

It did burn correctly (not just copied), but just
won't boot. To test the situation I also downloaded
and burned the new Puppy Linux release and it
booted fine.

Any help? :)

You need to burn it as an iso image. If you just burned the large iso file to cd, then your system doesn't find any boot info to boot from. You'd have to have an existing system or boot cd to mount and install from an iso file image.

Thank you for responding!

But I did that, or at least I think I did (I do know the difference :)).

That's why I posted a question here. My burning utility, "Deep
Burner," makes it easy to truly burn the image rather than just copy
it to cd. I tested it on Puppy Linux, as I mentioned.

I'm hoping somebody here has dealt with the one I'm having the
problem with, Easys Linux, and post here what they did to get it
to boot. The website for the distribution is not very informative,
unfortunately, or I would have posted there instead of here.

If you mount the cd, what do you see on it? One .iso image file or multiple files?

Three folders: easys, isolinux and kernels.

Inside of each folder are some files: easys has base.tgz -
isolinux has initrd.image, isolinux.bin and several others -
kernels has kernels. :)

Perhaps either your download or your burn was corrupted--did you verify it?

Dude click an option that says burn as iso, then you can browse for the iso then it will burn it as an iso. After that it will boot up when you run it.

That's exactly what I've been doing. That's why I'm posting here:
it doesn't work. I've also checked the integrity of the download
using md5checksum; everything's fine.

I need to learn how to make this iso bootable.

Salam,
I strongly think that the iso you've downloaded is corrupt
or
may be something wrong happened while you burnt it (because of your CD-RW).
This has happen to me with SLAX once!!

CD-RW tends to be a bit less likely to boot. Just try using a normal CD-R
