How to become a linux developer

I am a newcomer to linux been using it for about 2 weeks and i love it. My question is what do i have to do to become a linux developer one of the linux elite... andy suggestions on where to go or what to read.. i am a fast learner i was able to get my a+ in under 3 months. But i would love to be able to write my own linux drivers or kernels and one day my own distro. SO any suggestions or help would be great thanks

Elf; as you quoted fast learner read all and any thing pertaining to becoming a developer . then as so far you have done do it. this is free ware
is it not? any one can and may program , compile, rewrite, and develop new
os ,app ,or program as long as its done under the gnu org protocols. DO IT!
