How to automate dhcpcd for network connection

I am connected to LAN and I have to connect to network every time I boot using following command:
Quote:
dhcpcd eth0
How can I setup so that it connects to network automatically at startup? I have tried putting above command in rc.local but it does not work. I have a basic slackware installation with KDE.

See http://www.slackware.com/config/network.php for network setup.
