How to add KDE menu items to Gnome menu...

Does anyone know how to add KDE menu items to the Gnome menu in Slackware 9.1? There are many KDE programs I'd like to have easy access to without having to leave Gnome. I assume Gnome 2.4 can still run KDE programs?

Thanks

Have you tried putting a symlink in ~/.gnome/apps that points to ~/.kde/share/apps

Something like that, I'm on a windows computer right now and cant verify this.

Well, I was going to do that, but I can't find the folder where gnome puts all the links to it's applications. ~/.gnome/apps/ only has OpenOffice.org, which doesn't even show up in the menu.

Since the Gnome menu has items such as Graphics, Programming, System Tools, etc, I've searched (using locate, the 'search for files' dialog, and simply digging around) for any files named/containing the text of those menu items... But, nothing ever comes up.

Any other ideas? :-)

Thanks

run gnome's menu editor and put in the kde programs you want to access. in gnome 2.2:

gnome start button > Programs > Settings > Menu Editor.

also you could check and see if slackware hasn't done some kind of set up for you already. i don't know about slack though as i'm running rh 7.3 which puts in the gnome menu an item called KDE Programs.

Slack 9.1, or more specifically Gnome 2.4, has a menu setup much different than in RH 7.3. I couldn't find any menu editor anywhere in my menus. :-(

I really liked that little feature in RH where the Gnome menu has a KDE Programs menu. That was nice.

Well, there's probably something really simple that I'm missing here.
