weird, try (as user) creating a desktop icon (if you don't already have one) for your cd rom and using /mnt/cdrom or dev/cdrom (whichever works), try to use a simple data cd to start - something that you know it will be able to read
just double click the icon and see if it mounts

When you log on as a user you should see a desktop icon called removable media. When you click on it you should see to icons, one for the CDROM and one for the floppy.

With a disk inserted when you click on that icon you should see its contents.

Mandrake uses supermount by default so you do not have to use the mount / umount commands.

I actually already have the desktop icon but when I access this, a message pop up :"Sorry, I cannot to display all content of this CDROM"
I tried to view it by a browser, even I can change its default icon and Propety shows that root have full rights to this, However I still can not do
By the way, mine is LG DVDROM16X-48X

If your trying to mount a media cd like a DVD or music cd, you won't be able to browse their contents by mounting.

you would usually open a console and and type this when you have put your cd in:

mount /dev/cdrom
or
mount /mnt/cdrom
