Question How should I fix this? (Snes9x Frontend question)

Hi!!!

I've just installed Snes9Express. It's a great frontend for the Snes9x Emulator. It has (seems to have at least) a quite annoying bug. It auto-writes a file at my home directory /home/user/.sne9s

and inside this file, writes other 3 ones with my preferences

last
pref

Into the last, it stands the last rom I've used and it's configuration, and at pref, my preferences (skins and etc). The problem is... after I've close Snes9Express and try to reestart it, it does not... so I've to go into the it's directory (/home/user/.sne9s) and delete the file last. Then, I am able to start again the frontend.

I'm not sure why it happens (if it's a bug of them, or me who is doing something wrong) but it's really annoying and, it's the only frontend I could get to work with Snes9x.

Questions:

Is there anyway to do not let Snes9Express to write this file? Or at least just let it write once? (This problem is a little random. It can happen when Snes9Express tries to write "last" file and it fails, but sometimes, when it does not fails, I can start the frontend..., so if I could do it once right and stop it to write again, could be a work around... )

Is there any other Snes9x Frontend you would recommend me?

Thanks in advance!!!

hmmm..
try this

After file last is written for the first time,

$chmod 444 last

now last is read-only

Finally Sorry for the late reply. I've just formated and reinstalled my system. So far the code to make it read only works perfectly. Thanks once again...
