How do you write a sword-cursor..?

How do you write a smilie-cursor..?

What if someone did up a whole thread. in Linux themology, on the writing of a sword-cursor..?

Zowers! If that happened, I’d get my half-inch, glowing metallic blood-red cutlass-cursor, what would spin wildly at the touch of its “spin wildly key”... and would stab-at, at the touch of its “Slab at that! key”, and/or “stab-at that, mouse-button”...

In writing a sword cursor, I supposes I’d need to understand how Linux ticks, and tocs...
I ain’t got the time, nor the resources.. I dropped out in grade eight.. I’m already trying to squeeze 3-days into one... I jest cain’t figer-out thet thar cumpooder stuf, onacountu my lack of schooling in school.. and the beatin’ them at trynu kill me... I switch the PC on, and slap the keys.. then hit send.. Then the shid hits my fan.. cuz I said it like it is.. which is uhleegal in dis-place......
I don’t much cares if’n there’s a bunch of 0’s & 1’s “a tradin’ socks and undies at the speed of light” in the box... I just wants to drag that cutlass cursor from A to B when my finger happens to twitch on the mouse’s marble...
I don’t need to know all the guts of out-dated technologies, to earn the right and permissions to be state of the art in Life, and in beyond.... unless maybe if’n I hears a lot of “pretty-pleases.. with lots of prime-honey in mind”...

Umm..? easiest way I can see to get me a sword-cursor, is to cut-out a little plastic sword cutlass, spray-paint it metallic maroon, glue it to a long stick... and.. WhooH!.. watchout!..

I’m bets there’s a computer way of doing it...
maybe I copies a tiny gimp-edited pix, and pastes it into one of them thar "lib's-a-.whozits"..?

Is there a "Linux icon factory", with "clip-art library".. that a novice can work without havin' ta git computer-bum..?

Errr... what? Are you high?

What, exactly, do you mean by "sword cursor"? Be brief yet precise.

He wants to change the look of his cursor. When the cursor is busy - he wants it slash and dice anything in its path. I just don't know how to do it. Off to google!

This is for Ubuntu, but I bet it will work on most any distro. Its a do-it-yourself type thingy:

Initially it would just be a cute little red inanimate sword replacing the little arrow cursor...

In my Windows days, I downloaded the only bit of software I could find that had "sword cursors in its library of cursors.. but after install, a "Spybot S&D" search found 90 new bugs in the OS.. like "a big boot coming down hard, squishing an innocent little bug" it "burst my bubble" for wanting a sword cursor in Windows... But now, since I've long ago dropped all my Windows CD's in the incinerator, I'm again seeking my precious sword cursor, expecting that should I find related Linux software, it won't have any of the Window's evils in it...

I find that applying ones focus with the tip of a mental sword, forces the whole being to address any focus at peak... A little white arrow is nice, and cute.. but it just isn't a sword...
The little arrow is like "forever reading the number preceding step-one".. from then on the little arrow isn't focus as much as it is the creative writer being tethered to dead history... I ain't one for history anything...

In animating the cursor, the cursor maintains focus at peak...
In my future Fedora based OS, "Dragon".. If I ever get it all together to be able to hire and house experts to build it, the cursor will be fully animated, as will this whole sensual OS... I.E.: the blade could cut anything out of a document with a slight mouse-button & and marble slash, like how I cut attacking remote-viewer mind robber's points, upon approach, thereby marking them for a peaceful absolute end, is why I would like the sword to be my PC's cursor, just one of many "off the wall" reasons for wanting a sword cursor... I hope that's not too "precise" for this forum's permissible content...

Seems all I needs to do, is to copy and paste a new cursor over the default cursor, and save.. but I needs to do it in applying all the proper formats, in proper evolutionary-sequence, incorporating all the necessary codes and packages, which means I must learn the very "guts" of Linux and Unix to proceed, which means I must study the best basic Unix and Linux manuals, and more, from page one, and learn it all.. Oyie! as if I don't have a million other things to do, in forever trying to cram three-days into one...

For now, my only option to get me a sword cursor, is if some bored Linux writer happens to write it up for the novice to easily install.. and I'm trying to make sense of that Ubuntu link, and apply it to Fedora without freaking-out the kernel...
