how do you disable a firewall ?


my friend has one and cant play games over the internet.....???

Well that would all depend on how he has his firewall setup, any specific firewall being used, etc, etc ??

More details gets better answers, were not psychic you know..

ummm I'll run across the street tomorow and see...its a custom build pc..win98...I know he has norton antivirus...

??? So you want to know how to disable the firewall in win?

Or am I missing something? Just shut it off. If it's Norton's firewall you can disable it, if it's ZoneAlarm, same deal. FYI, if this is on the win box, you should have posted it in the General section, not Linux - General as this forum is for Linux specific questions, not computers in General. If it's not a win question, could you please let us know what you are talkin about?
