How do I use the extra buttons on my keyboard? (SuSE, KDE)


How do I get my extra buttons working on my keyboard?

EDIT: Figured it out. Thanks anyways.

Win* buttons on suse/KDE

Hi

Enter yast (as root) select Hardware->Keyboardlayout in there choose 'Type' and change another keyboard type, don't forget to select a non-deadkey layout.

If this doesn't work with your kbd, simply try another kbd manufacturer.

and can we make you of sthg like:

XF86AudioRaiseVolume :ExecCommand amixer -q set PCM 4+ unmute

for the keys ?

These kde packages may help:
lineakd-0.8.4-17.pm.2
lineak_kde-0.8.4-13
lineak_defaultplugin-0.8.4-17.pm.2
lineak_xosdplugin-0.8.4-17.pm.2

Be sure to read the documentation at /usr/share/doc/packages/lineakd/ and the lineakd manpage.
