Wink How do I update my database?

I have ubuntu 10.04 and tried updatedb command, but it didn't work. I did $ sudo updatedb but it just goes to the next line in the terminal and nothing is returned (1 or 0). Shouldn't I see something if it works, like some sort of conformation that the database got updated?

if it works right, it just waits a while and returns. doing it through sudo should work fine. And of course the faster your system and smaller your installation the quicker it is.

updatedb doesn't give a confirmation.
It only gives errormessages, if any
