How do I start programs ion a window?

For example, the game Maelstrom.

In Suse 9.1 it starts full screen which is out of range on my 1280 x 768 widescreen lcd.

Anyhelp would be appreciated

you could try alt+enter.. or look at the games options. I know this is going to sound bad, but try pressing F1 like in windows :P

Oddly enough, I can't get Maelstrom to run in fullscreen unless I specify fullscreen. Perhaps your icon or menu item uses "Maelstrom -fullscreen"
