Post How do I setup processes to display on the 'virtual consoles'?

I know there are at least six 'virtual consoles' (with the ALT+F keys) on my ubuntu installation but I never use more than two - However, I know from a repair-cd (can't remember which one) that you can set up "top" to run on one virtual console, "ps aux" on another, kernel messages on a third etc - all automatically at bootup.

Has anyone done anything similar to this - and how did you do it?

Thanks
