How do I Set MySQL Max Query Execution Time?

Hey guys,

I was just wondering if anyone knew how and where to set the Max query execution time variable for MySQL. I assume i would place this in the my.cnf file but i do not know the correct command or syntax. I have some queries that are taking too long and overloading the server and untill i can get them fixed, i need to stop them from taking 250 seconds to work! Any help is appreciated!

Thanks!,
