Mount Win98 Drive
First, find out exactly what partition is your Windows 98 (Type vfat or fat). As root, run cfdisk /dev/hda, that should tell you.
Next, create a directory to be the mount point. Example, mkdir /mnt/win
Assuming your partition is hda1, the mount command will look something like this:
mount -t vfat /dev/hda1 /mnt/win
See the mount documenation for more information on the options.
If you want, it is also possible to create an entry in /etc/fstab that will automatically mount the partition when the system starts. See man fstab for details on the format of this file (And look at the entries already in there for good examples.)

when you are installing linux while under disk druid(sp) you had to option to list the vfat partition as a mount -
click on that partition: select edit and name mount
/dos
you can do this now if it wasn't done already
