How do I install OS ISO on vmware server?

Is there a way to install OSes using the downloaded ISO file on vmserver? I installed vmware server on linux and now want to install a bunch of different OSes to try out...i have the ISO files, but not sure how to install using them.

Another question is, can you install an VM OS onto an nfs mounted disk...like an area on a filer?

yeah you could, atleast in the workstation version. you should go into the settings of the host and make the cdrom point to an iso image.
