how do i install linux header files


how do i install linux header files
i have downloaded the package for my kernel 2.4.22, but do not know how to get them installed
I am running slackware.

slackware has packages for that. www.slackware.com/getslack pick a mirror and go to your version. Choose slackware-->d/. the package is called kernel-headers-xxx.xxx.tgz

become root and type in a console:
installpkg kernel-headers-xxx.xxx.tgz
