Open up a terminal, cd to the directory it's in, and enter ./alienarena-2006ue-x86.run

Tried it, all i got was 'permission denied', so i tried 'sudo ./alienarena-2006ue-x86.run', and got 'command not found', so i tried 'sudo./alienarena-2006ue-x86.run' taking out the space after sudo and got 'no such file or directory!

Any help would be appreciated.

The file probably needs executable permissions. Try running "chmod +x alienarena-2006ue-x86.run" and then try to execute it again.

Everyone's assuming that the named file is an install script...do we know that?

EDIT: OP--Where did you get the file?

Yes it is. Here is a snapshot of a terminal that is installing that exact same file. I found this on an Ubuntu forum.
Code:
$ chmod +x alienarena-2006-x86.run
$ ./alienarena-2006-x86.run
Verifying archive integrity... All good.
