How do i configure RH-9, apache 2.0, php and mysql
hello all,
Let me get straight to the point.
I have an application to be hosted on RH-9. I have installed php, httpd mysql all using rpms.
I am able to view the test page of apache server.
I could create datbses and add tables (so i guess apache and mysql are correctly installed)
I have created a test1.php file using the vi editor on a locl directory.
How do i execute it ?
are there any changes to be done in the /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf file ?
also the
/etc/php.ini file ?
thanks

Welcome to LQ.
Just put the php file in your DocumentRoot (see the value of this directive in httpd.conf) directory. Then access it via your browser.

If you want to change the location where your server looks for web files then change the DocumentRoot directive or add an aliased directory. Take a look at the docs on:
http://httpd.apache.org
If you are unsure then just reply again.
