how do i change the computer's known domain?


my computer knows itself as shawnserver.d2g.com BUT on October 1, d2g.com is becoming a paid service....how do i change the name that the server recognizes itself as?

I think you can do that by typing domainname nameofdomain.

How

Where do you go and type this command at? I am trying to change the Welcome to domain.com whenever Red Hat 9.1 ask for the user name and password. Is this the same thing you guys are talking about?
