how could I use find to make an icremental backup

I use tar to backup, but since tar does not support incremental backups, I'm tring to use the find command to find the files created since last full backup and create a separate backup with newer files only...

any help appreciated

GNU tar does report to perform incremental if this is an option for you. This may save you from having to script and use find.

Have you thought of using rsync?

FWIW, I 2nd the vote for "rsync", just indispensable, and imho better than "dd" "cp" "cpio" and especially "find".
