How come RH9 installs apache even if u dont ask...

Just wondering why when I installed RH9 as a server install but asked for none of the apache or other server packages to be installed, but they actually are. But they are just not set to start up automatically.

Should I just download the latest apache and install it over using a RPM?

Or should I try and remove the older apache first?

You might have installed another package the depends on apache, etc. Redhat will auto install anything you select and its dependencies, even if you selected not to install.
